Athens day cruise from Piraeus A full day at sea, back by evening.

Short on time in Athens but want a day on the water? Here is how our full-day cruise works, what it includes and how to compare day cruises from Athens.

What an Athens day cruise with us looks like

The Athens All Day Cruise leaves Marina Zeas in Piraeus at 09:00 every day from April to October and returns around 19:00. In approximately 10 hours you get two shore visits, Agistri and Aegina, plus a swim stop at Aponisos, Moni or Metopi, chosen by the crew for the day’s weather. You travel on a traditional wooden sailing boat that cruises under engine, with a professional crew and an onboard host who gives you an overview of the day in English.

It suits travellers who want to see Greek islands from Athens without organising ferries, and anyone who would rather spend a day swimming and eating well than queueing at sights. It is a full day, so plan for the early start and the journey back from Piraeus in the evening.

The day, step by step

  1. Boarding at Marina Zeas

Meet us at Gate A by 08:40 for the 09:00 departure, or choose the Athens transfer and be collected earlier at your pickup point. Welcome coffee, tea, juice and pastries are served as you board.

  2. Late morning on Agistri

After a light snack on the way, enjoy free time around Skala: the beach, a café or the blue-domed church. An optional bike tour costs €10 per person.

  3. Swim stop and Greek lunch

Snorkelling equipment and water noodles are on board. Lunch is served while the boat is at anchor.

  4. Afternoon in Aegina town

Stroll the harbour, try the island’s pistachios or walk to the Temple of Apollo at Kolona.

  5. Back around 19:00

Fresh fruit is served on the way back to Marina Zeas.

You usually have about an hour and a half at each stop. Sea conditions set the exact times, and the captain may change the order of stops for weather and safety.
